Review: House of Earth and Blood

House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas My rating: 4 of 5 stars Light It Up **Minor Spoiler** Step back into the Maasverse with the House of Earth and Blood. Ever wondered what ACOTAR and TOG would be like if they were Urban Fantasy? Well, here it is, and just as addicting as its counterparts. HOEAB follows half-fae Bryce Quinlan as she is coerced to help solve a mystery that involves the death of her best friend years prior, and must learn to finally move on and accept her place in Midgard. Great story, better than I expected. I look forward to the next one. View all my reviews

Review: Crown Me Yours

Crown Me Yours by Liv Zander My rating: 4 of 5 stars "Now is all we're given." **Minor Spoiler (but if you read Book 1, then you're safe)** A continuation of Crown Me Dead, Elara must continue to find a way to break the curse that caused the Rot. And Vale just might know how. But courting Death is not so easy. Zander created a unique way to represent love and grief, Life and Death, with this story. A well-blended mixture of joy, pain, comedy and grief: the things that make a life what it is. 4.5 stars for me. View all my reviews

My Website is Up!

Hello, Book Lovers! I have an official author webpage! It is simply my name with a ".com" at the end of it 😊. You can access it here . It is brand new, so it's still in the building stage. I hope you all get to see it and watch as it grows. I look forward to hearing what you all think as I continue this writing journey.  Until then, Book Lovers!

Review: Tower of Dawn

Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas My rating: 5 of 5 stars An Equal Fight Taking place the same time as Empire of Storms, Tower of Dawn follows Choal's and Nesryn's journey to the Southern Continent to find allies and a way to heal the new Hand of the King of Ardalan. Can they gain what they seek before darkness spreads over the Continent? I didn't tandem read this book with EOS, but it was just as enjoyable as the rest of the Throne of Glass series so far. Now onto the final battle. View all my reviews

Review: Crown Me Dead

Crown Me Dead by Liv Zander My rating: 4 of 5 stars The Glorious Rot It's rare to come across a story that is slow and fast-paced at the same time, and that works for this book. Set in a plague ridden kingdom, Elara, the daughter of a gravedigger, has an opportunity to end a rumored curse that's tied to the crown. Elara thought she understood death, until... Gripping prose, great build up, and shocking ending. Leads the reader directly to the sequel. View all my reviews

Review: Kingdom of Ash

Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas My rating: 5 of 5 stars To Whatever End The fight for a better world continues in this epic, emotional story of a princess who loved her kingdom, and would do anything to protect it and find her way home. I am left whirling with this series! My emotions are brimming, and I struggle to hold them back after completing this book. It ended so well! And with Elizabeth Evans's audio: top-tier level of work. I will keep this story within me forever, "to whatever end." The Throne of Glass series is a highly recommended read! Review: Bright Burns the Flame

Bright Burns the Flame by Angelina J. Steffort My rating: 4 of 5 stars A Burning Adventure Set in the Alcunaire metaverse, the story follows the street Elory Vednis. In order to escape a death sentence, she takes up an offer to attend the Ashward Academy, where people train to weaponoze their magic. Problem is, Lory doesn't appear to have any. A mixture of Hunger Games and Desendant with a dash of Prince of Persia vibes, follow Lory as she learns there's more to her than being an invisible, low-life street rat. View all my reviews

Getting Back To It!

Hello, book lovers (and anyone who is still following me)! (Also, Nanners says hello too, and wouldn't mind a boop on the nose). It has been a busy life so far, indeed! I know how sporadic my posts have been over the years; it's something I'm still working on. But after obtaining a stable job, earning my Master's in Imaginative Literature, and dipping my feet into editing, I am going to try to give this blog the love and attention it deserves! First off, I will be doing some updates/editing on my blog, so expect some changes to come. Second, I will be posting my book reviews directly from Goodreads to this page (did you know I have over 300 reviews on that website? Wow!) Third, as usual, I have a busy life and tend to be forgetful. So, I will do my best to post as much as I can, especially with the new projects happening in my life. Speaking of projects, number 4, I am getting into editing and have recently been working with a new author, D.S. Matthews. He writes in mu...

Review: Red Runs the Blood

Red Runs the Blood by Angelina J. Steffort My rating: 4 of 5 stars The Truth Slowly Exposed After Lory's trial in the mountains, more than just her power is exposed. As she returns to Ashthorn Academy and has climbed the ranks, Lory learns more about her powers, her strength, and just how closely she is tied to the prophecy Khayrivven's father predicted years ago. But after fighting to survive, Lory now must learn to how far she is willing to go to protect what she has gained, even killing for it if it comes to that point. Red Runs the Blood is a compelling sequel to Bright Burn the Flame , a series set in Steffort's Alcunaire world. A great read for magic lovers, those that enjoys low burns, and ponder how a prophecy slowly takes shape. View all my reviews
