Hipsy's View: Shane Dawson's video on Bullying and Suicide

I know that I don't have that many followers yet, and you may not read this until like 5 months later, but I thought I should post this because it's an important issue: suicide amongst teenagers.

Now most of those around my age or younger, I like to think of us as the "Youtuber-Generation"; there are many Youtubers that are popular like Joe Nation and Brittini Louise Taylor. One of my favorites is Shane Dawson. I do have to admit some of his language is vulgar, but hey who am I talk? I can have a bit of a dirty mouth sometimes too, like others around my age (FYI Shane's like a year older than me). Recently, he has posted a vlog on Youtube on one of his channels. His message in the vlog is to stay strong (and this is for anyone) and don't try to kill yourself. Yeah, life can get hard, but there's more to life than being bullied and thinking your life sucks. He states how when he was a kid in middle school and high school how he used to get tormented by others. I myself have experienced bullying from others; I used to get picked on because of how slow it would take me to read a book that others could read faster and they would pick on me because I had a little bit of a speech impediment (which I still have today, but I have under more control).

No matter how different you are, whether people like you are not, you shouldn't end your life because they mock you because of your differences. Our differences are what makes us unique from one another. Like Shane Dawson, I advise all you to find something you enjoy doing and just pursue in it; that may be your purpose of living, to bring what you do best to the world. In Shane's words, "You never know where life's going to take you. You never know where you're gonna go. But you'll never be able to find out if you end it." This is well said.
